About me

The self-confident creative is an idiot.

Giorgio Armani

I was born in 1975 in Venice, city where I still work and live.

After graduating from high school, in 1994 I signed up for Economics at Ca’ Foscari. In 2001 I graduated with a degree in Political Economics, and after an e-Marketing course I started working as a business consultant in the quality sector.

It doesn’t take long for me to realize that that’s not my path.

That’s how I leave my job and join the International School of Graphics in Venice, and after two years of courses I can finally start my experiences in different communication agencies.

In 2005 I start my experience as a freelancer, and since 2010 I have been working as Art director at Web-Lab, a communication agency in Venice.

My skills

In my works I always look for simplicity, immediacy, and – if possible – humor. It is not always possible to combine these three characteristics, of course each work has its own story – however, the works that I love most are those that require a particular reasoning synthesis, and that through a few strokes can reveal the whole world behind the graphic design.

Everything always comes from a desire that turns into a need: the desire of someone who wants to make known his product, his company, or more generally his services.

Frequently, people who contact a graphic designer don’t know exactly what they want: most of the time they just have a vague idea of what they DON’T want.
My goal is to be able, through comparison, to graphically concretize what in principle is only an intuition, an image that is not precise and not well defined.

It is often difficult to make it clear that sometimes what you like is not necessarily what you need. And even more often, the canons of beauty and of what is graphically correct have very different standards.

That’s the way it is, isn’t it? We’re all a bit graphic designers…

The real challenge is to guide the person through the creative process and find a solution that is what he really needs: the right synthesis between what he wants and what is graphically pleasant and functional to his needs.

The secret is not in the solution, but in the process that absorbed the mind.
